I was wrong, Mopar does offer a conversion kit. Here is a link to it. http://www.quadratec.com/products/12503_8000_07.htm

Nuts to spend 30k on a JK and then another 6k just to make into something Jeep should be already offering.

"Kit is built to order, please allow 6 to 8 months from order date"

For $5888.89......looks like the Goobers at MOPAR could at least have a couple of kits on the shelf at any given time. In today's "McDonald's" mentality society (everyone wants something NOW) the least MOPAR could do for it's JEEP followers is to have a few around...what an absolute joke!!!! I don't even know if I'll be ALIVE in six to eight months....

Sad thing is this a popular set up that Jeep makes and exports to Egypt for their military. Nice set up. Pick up style, no frills, Dana 60s front and rear, etc. called the JK-8.

No idea why they wont sell it here. Oh and it comes in a diesel flavor for overseas.

I believe you can order the jk8 through ave-conversions but it doesn't come with a title.

I had an 82 model AMC built J10. I6 4wd 4spd. Was, by a long shot, the toughest truck I have ever driven. Would love to find me another J10.

Ran across this article this morning. Hopefully now that Chrysler is starting to embrace Diesel a bit more with the announcement of the 1500 series pick ups in a diesel the new Jeep will have one as well.
