Post My wife's first Buck.
Bought the wife a new 2014 Kia sorento about 2 weeks ago. Last night she decided to try her hand at deer hunting. She bagged a 4 pointer. Important thing is her and Chris were fine. The Kia didn't fare so well.

I tried to get her to tie it on top but she wouldn't. Luckily it didn't set off the airbags. Thank goodness. That thing has like 6 airbags.

Looks like hood, outer bumper, inner bumper, probably rad core support. that will be about a 2k bill I'm guessing.

I got to say geico has been awesome to deal with. Called them Sunday evening and reported the accident. An adjuster was here by noon today and had cut a check for the body shop before he left. The Kia was on it's way to the shop in less than 24 hours after I called. Doesn't get any better than that.

I loved Geico when I had them. When the tornado happened in salyersville, they had an adjuster out in about 3 days to assess the damage and cut a check. Only reason I switched to State Farm was because their homeowners insurance was about $100/month cheaper then Geico(liberty mutual) making State Farms combined auto/home about $80/month cheaper for me. If I had my way I would have kept geico auto and picked up State Farm home, but having both policies with the same company gave me the discounts I needed to save money monthly.

I tried to get home owners with geico but their mobile home insurance is outrageous. They wanted $4000 a year.

I nailed a small one in Byrdstown, TN back on March 24th, 2012 in the 2007.5 RAM 3500 MegaCab. I was running about 50 mph.....it shot out of nowhere, and appeared so fast I didn't even have time to lift off the throttle.

Image

At one time, my front license plate w/bracket was sliding at about the same speed as Bambi. At least the license plate survived. :horse

RAM 3500 : 1 **** Bambi : 0

That does suck on a two week old ride.....and that repair bill is huge!!!

Yeah I wish it had been in my truck. I'm guessing the Ford would have handled it much better......

When I rode motorcycles, the deer were one of my biggest fears.

Yep it's scary, especially on the roads I travel to an from work. I hit the fawn doin about 45 but managed to keep bike up. Bent the frame and everything else up front. Then tried dodging a coon. Ended up hitting it with floorboard so that had to be replaced then.

Got the Kia back today. Lighthouse collision on US 23 did a great job.
