Did you check with your Union to see if you can get the X plan?

Although KES produces spring steel that ends up in most ford, dodge, and chevy vehicles, it did not qualify me for the x plan, but they told me they can extend it to immediate family members of people who do qualify for it. They said since my dad retired from Marathon, they could extend the x plan to me.

you still get all rebates with the x plan too, don't let them tell you otherwise.

If you want all out power, get that eco boost, I am still impressed with the overall power of that engine. Puts all the others I have had to shame. And the programers for them, well, they can make them amazing from what I hear.

I havent been in an eco boost, but I have driven a couple 5.0 F-150's that we had for work as rentals. Those engines are very impressive to me. Probably the fastest gas truck I have been in. My boss has a new 2500 chevy with the 6.0 and 4:10's and its a nice truck but that 5.0 F-150 would outrun it with no problem.

My eco is quick, very quick, it has good and bad days as all turbo motors seem to have, but it will make a lot of these turned up diesels think real hard.

Im sure they do run good. The video's I have seen of them seem to show that they do. I just wonder how they will last to say 250k miles or so? Thats quite a bit of power out of a small gas engine on boost. Of course if the internals are beefy enough it really shouldnt be a problem.

About the best I can give you will be a 100k test on this one. We only keep them that long. But no worries that will happen within a couple years :truck

Well, I bought a new f150. 5.0, not ecoboost. Drove both, liked both, but the ecoboost was honestly just overkill for what I needed, and I didn't care much for the way it sounded. Thanks for all the info guys!

Awesome! I hope you love yours as much as I do mine.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get yours?

Finally got to tow a real load with it. It didn't even struggle a little.

Tractor was about 7k with weighted tires, trailer is 2k ish, and had a box blade in the bed.

Looks like your rear suspension might state otherwise. :stir :bolt

The engine didn't struggle... Lol yeah to tow that much very often so bags would be nice, but I doubt it will be hauled that much.
